Yes, it's me

YES, IT’S ME (E A D G B E)

Can’t you see? Yes, it’s me. Do you believe? Yes, it’s me.

You don’t need me.

Can’t you tell? Yes, it’s me. Are you well? Yes, it’s me.

You can’t spell my name without an eee.

How will I correct my course?

How will I correct my course?

Can’t you see? Yes, it’s me. What do you need? Yes, it’s me.

Do you believe in me?

How will I correct my course?

How will I correct my course?

Can you see me? Do you believe in me? What do you need?

If I could say goodbye

IF I COULD SAY GOODBYE (E A D G A E, capo 1)

If I could walk I would walk into the trees. If I could swim I would swim to the end of the sea.

And if I could fly I would fly into the sun. If I could say goodbye I’d say goodbye to everyone.

If I could run I would run into the night. If I could hide I would hide in the brightest light.

If I could talk I’d tell you.

Khmer Rouge, genocide quo
Your place or mein kampf, now I’m giving the dog a bone
Slight hunch without the vaguest clue
To keep the blood balanced and we’re coming around again
Half past nine, quarter to two, ten fifteen
And we’re coming round again

If I could talk I’d tell you
If I could smile I’d let you know

And if I could fly I would fly into the sun. If I could say goodbye I would say goodbye to everyone.

If it's true you will know

IF IT’S TRUE YOU WILL KNOW (E A D G B E)

I’ll wait— wait with me. You don’t need to rescue me.

We’re blessed. Don’t you know?

I’ll go— come along. The path never ends.

I believe it is so. And if it’s true you will know.

Rain falls and bricks shatter. How do you know what really matters?

How do you know? How do you know? How do you know?

Haoooo

HAOOOO (E A D G B E)

 Ahooooo, ahoooo. Ahooooo, ahoooo.

Ahoo, ahoooo. Ahoo, ahoooo.

Ahooooo, ahoooo. Ahooooo, ahoooo.

Ahoo, ahoooo. Ahoo, ahoo.

Ahoo. Ahoo. Ahoo hoohoo, hoohoo, hoohoo, hoohoo, hoohoo, hoohoo, hoohoo.

Ahooooo, ahoooo. Ahooooo, ahoooo.

Ahoo, ahoooo. Ahoo, Haoooo.

Haoooo, haoooo, haoooo, haoooo, haoooo, haoooo, haoooo, haoooo, haoooo, haoooo, haoooo, haoooo, haoooo, haoooo.

After a cold shower

AFTER A COLD SHOWER (E A D G B E)

When you run faster the rain falls harder. The wind blows stronger. The trees groan louder.

But I feel less sicker. I feel better after a cold shower.

Peaceful times

PEACEFUL TIMES (E A D G B E, capo 2)

Peaceful times. Lonely clouds. Open garden.

Bronze bird. Red cliff. Buried in the sand.

Take it out. Wash it clean. Unfurl.

Broken ways. Little hands. I know.

Wild goose. Blue river. Peaceful times.

Monkish ways. Gaze at clouds. I see.

Splendid moon. Lonely mood.

Fishing boat. Going home. Peaceful times.

Today, right then, though

TODAY, RIGHT THEN, THOUGH (E A D G B E)

Today, right then, though. Nobody really knows. That’s why they say: Keep your mouth closed.

Today, right then, though. I’m hanging out my clothes. It’s windy and the sun is out. It’s perfect, I suppose.

I suppose I can feel the sun on my back. The cockatoos overhead. The rain clouds coming today or tomorrow. And when they do I won’t be sad. I won’t say no or yes or why. I won’t let go or hold on tight. I won’t rush but I won’t go slow. Today, right then, though.

I am laughing too

I AM LAUGHING TOO (E A D G B E)

I don’t want to know. I don’t want to know. You can let me go. I don’t want to know.

I can see why. I can see why. You’ve been telling lies. I can see why.

If you asked, if you asked me now. I flick the switch, let the dogs out. If you could see, if you could see me now.

I don’t understand. I don’t understand. You’ve got a plan. I don’t understand.

I’m falling out. I am falling out. You are darker now. I’m falling out.

Through a hole, through a great big hole. It just turned on like a lightbulb. It just came on like it always was.

And it always was.

Looking through your garden it’s harder. If I could be bothered, I’d bother. I can hear you laughing, I’m laughing too.

I am laughing too.

The CD is a bit scratchy

THE CD IS A BIT SCRATCHY (E A D G B E)

Thank you for the music. I think she’ll like it too. I dreamt about a kangaroo and it made me think of you. The CD is a bit scratchy. I haven’t played it in a while. But I listened quietly this morning and it made me smile.

As the rain hammers the windows. The wind shakes the glass. The road outside is flooded and the water’s moving fast. But she is keeping us safe. It’s just the way things are. She’s up in the stars and she is in our hearts.

This room ain’t so bad. I think she can be happy here. All it took was a vacuum for the first time in years. And she’ll have everything she needs. I know there’s nothing to fear. I’ll just keep my guitar out and pack away the rest of my gear.

She don’t even know it. She doesn’t need to. Because everything is everything and everything is true. Because everything is changing. It’s just the way things are. She’s up in the sky and she is in our hearts.

She is on her way and she’s already here. The sky is cold and grey but my heart is clear. And everything is changing. It’s just the way things are. But she is in our hearts.

Inside mind

INSIDE MIND (D G D G B E)

There’s a lot of honey in the tea this morning. There are a lot words in these books.

There are many thoughts in my head. And the rain is pissing down.

Inside mind. Through the walls. My inside mind. Right here.

Inside mind. Through the windows.

There are a lot of questions. There are many options. There are many directions and wrong turns.

There are many ways to show you are grateful. And the rain is pissing down.

Inside mind. I can see your inside mind. Right here.

Inside mind. Under the roof.

Inside mind.

Inside mind.

Inside mind. And the rain is. Inside mind. And the rain is. Inside mind. And the rain is. Inside mind. Pissing down.
