IT’S OBVIOUS (D A D G B E, capo 2 (open D))
Such blue sky, so empty. I’m going there, come with me.
Such morning, so singing. It’s obvious.
We are superfluous.
One hour, one sunset. One footstep. Are we home yet?
Two bodies glowing in the darkness. I feel the heaving of the night through the curtains.
It’s obvious. We are superfluous.
Steam rises and disappears. Trees dance in the westerly winds.
And the water is dirty but so are we. I don’t know where his idea came from that we are so clean.
But if we can be like leaves, then some of us will fall. And some of us will glow.
Superfluous, apparently.
