A ROAD LONG ENOUGH TO TRAVEL ON ALL NIGHT (E A D G A E)
How many hot showers more until I start to feel better?
I took so much pride in the things that now seem like they were killing me.
Even a tree thick enough to embrace will fall down one day.
How many more days of sleeping in until I can open my eyes?
Because I want to look directly at the sun and hold her accountable for all that she has done.
Even a wave more powerful than we could imagine will break like all the others did.
You’re the third person today to ask me if I’m OK.
I’m starting to think maybe I’m not OK.
Even a road long enough to travel on all night.
