A promise

He came back today after years away. When we asked him he couldn’t say.

We all gave him hugs. Told him we love him so much. And never ever do that again.

 

And we had a beer with a bag of chips. And it felt so good.

And we laughed a lot as the sun went down.

So, make a promise you’ll get better now.
