When you close your mouth everyone listens. Have you seen the clouds? A home in the distance. But gone in an instant.

When you come back down the world will unravel. Watch it stretching out before our eyes.

And there is no guaranteed end.

And the only sound; a soft exhale. A sitting duck in the pouring rain.

 

When the power goes out it will be quiet. Sun will burst through the clouds with nothing to hide it.

And there’s nothing behind it.

An empty boat on a frozen lake. The only sounds will melt away.

Will melt away.

 

And the only sounds are blue and red. Emergencies ringing in your head. And you’re out of bed with no one around. Your shaky breath is the only sound.
