AND THEN OUR HEARTS BROKE (D G D G B E)

And then our hearts broke.

Anything, it could be: crashing, falling. You looked beautiful.

And then your heart broke.

 

I felt everything. Sunlight through every window. Tracing the arc with our fingers.

We could’ve slept all night.

And then our hearts broke.

 

Like the ocean is to wind, our hearts reach out and go back in.

And if you fight you’ll be destroyed.

If only I’d known before our hearts broke.
