LIGHT BENDS (E A D G B E)
Light bends around our hearts. Lifted from somewhere else. Reaching into the sky. Float, floating away.
Still damp, still a bit cold. Still holding onto a thought. Still worried about everything else. Most are feeling the same.
Thrusting through rivers and streams. Between the cracks in our heads.
Between our teeth and under our nails. Some things just fit right into their place.
Light bends and fills your chest. Resting here just for a while. Golden and just warm enough.
Still looking for something to do. Still waiting for something to say.
Filling the holes with silences. Nothing to say if they asked but they never did.
