I CANNOT FLY YET (E A D G B E, capo 1)
I feel the water rising. I cannot jump in.
I see the bird in the tree. I cannot fly yet.
I cannot remember why I thought what I did.
And why I couldn’t what I can now.
I see the moon so full. I can almost taste it.
I want to punch holes in the roof and make tiny pools.
For the stars to swim. I want to let them in.
They can almost see me. I cannot be late.
They can almost see me. I want to let them in.
I see the moon so full. I can almost taste it.
I see the bird in the tree. I cannot fly yet.
I cannot fly yet. They can almost see me.
I want to let them in.
